Welcome to the Silver Shadowed Gryphons Guildsite!
Although we may appear to be just a social guild, we do schedule instances and the odd raid every now and then. We're a friendly bunch who love to just joke around and get along. The majority of our members are nearing lvl 80 and gearing themselves up in their own time so we may experience guild raids one day. We are attempting to recruit lower level players into the guild to add to our ranks. Doing so may express a 'new generation of recruits' atmosphere, as we see Lv20's grow through to Lv80.
New members can look forward to a free Guild-Tabard on recruitment and climb the ranks of the guild. Our ranking system is not based on level, experience or gear, rather it's based on how well you get along with everyone else in the guild and how reliable you are.
Everybody joins in as a Stable Hand, You will have absolutely no privileges, apart from receiving a Guild-Tabard and speaking with the Guild ofcourse. Everyone remains a Stable Hand for the first few days, as people have a tendency to 'Guild-Jump' (A new guild every day.. in hopes of stealing from Guildbanks etc.) So after the first day or two, members will be promoted to Squire. Squires have Guild Bank access, but with limited withdrawals.
After Squire rank, comes Scout. Scout is easily attainable if you are a friendly person who get's along well with most of us. If you are somebody who likes to discriminate people for their level of experience or just in general, you'll more than likely never attain this rank. Scouts have more withdrawal privileges from the Guildbank than Squire. After Scout, there is Guard. Guard is the highest attainable rank for members. It allows access to Officer chat among other things. To receive the Guard promotion, you would need to be able to get along well with the majority of the guild, and be reliable.. as in, a good source of information regarding quest help; helpful during instances etc.
Other than the aforementioned ranks, there are Gryphon Knight's (The founders of the guild + A select few players that truly deserve this title.), and Gryphon Elite (Guild Master).
We are slowly becoming more raid active, throwing in a practice raid every weekend at a lower lvl raid instance. As we are incredibly short on a Healer class (hopefully this changes after 3.1.0 with Dualspec > Pala's & Druids can double as either Tank/Healer) Guild raids are very difficult to set up. Eventually, once our lvl 80's have suitable gear, we will attempt to run 10man Raids in Northrend, Obisidian Sanctuary, Naxxramus, VoA and as we progress; Eye of Eternity.
No matter what your level or playing experience, everyone is welcome into our guild. As long as you follow the simple rules that are layed out in the guildlog, you'll be sure to have a great time with us.
